Ranorex® is a UI test automation framework for testing many different application types including Web 2.0, WPF, Silverlight, Qt, .NET, Flash/ Flex, AIR 2, and Java. The Ranorex Recorder enables capture/replay of UI tests, edit actions and generate real C#, VB.NET and IronPython code. Ranorex object repositories enable separation of test automation code/recordings from RanoreXPath identification information. The IDE includes test project management, intuitive code editor, code completion, debugging, and watch monitor.

Tyto software delivers Sahi, an automation tool to test web applications. Sahi injects javascript into web pages using a proxy and the javascript helps automate web applications. Sahi is a tester friendly tool. It abstracts out most difficulties that testers face while automating web applications. Some salient features include excellent recorder, platform and browser independence, no XPaths, no waits, multithreaded playback, excellent Java interaction and inbuilt reporting.

Selenium is a portable software testing framework for web applications. Selenium provides a record/playback tool for authoring tests without learning a test scripting language. Selenium provides a test domain specific language (DSL) to write tests in a number of popular programming languages, including Java, Ruby, Groovy, Python, PHP, and Perl. Test playback is possible in most modern web browsers. Selenium deploys on Windows, Linux, and Macintosh platforms.
