Add-on features
The add-on features are some additional modules that can be added to XStudio. They are included in the commercial licenses as indicated below.Add'on features currently available are:
MySql Support
| If your company wish to use only MySql database, this feature will be necessary. This will allow you store all your data in a MySql database.. |

XStudio 1.0 and greater This feature is included in all versions of XStudio (included free version). |

Custom fields
| This feature allows customizing details for the items managed within XStudio. Hence, requirements, specifications, test cases and bugs could have additional custom fields. |

XStudio 1.5 and greater This feature is included in XStudio Professional, XStudio Business and XStudio Enterprise. |

Graphics in reports
|
Did you ever need one time to import manually XStudio's graphics to your reports? Then, this feature is for you. It includes in the generated documents all the graphics you can get in XStudio's GUI. This includes progress details, results pie charts, coverage bar charts and many others. |

Progress metrics
| Where are we in the testing? how much time is necessary to complete test execution? This feature provides these metrics immediately from the campaign tree. |

Residual campaigns
|
Let's imagine you have ten people working on different campaigns.
They executed several instances (sessions) of these campaigns and you need now to consolidate and execute only the tests that have failed at least once or have never been successfull.

Public search/filters
|
If you often filter the requirements, tests, bugs etc. based on some specific criteria,

SQL custom reports
| You may need to create your own reports by accessing directly XStudio's database. This add'on will allow you to register your favorites SQL queries (possibly based on specific ids) to get custom reports. This feature will also allow you to share your reports and export the results to Excel speadsheets in one single click. |

Test case procedure grid editor
| Apart from the formatted desciption text field you have the possibility to edit your detailed test case procedure using the standard tree editor. This add'on will allow you to opt for an alternative simpler and more flexible grid editor. |

Suggest linked tests
|
When you create a new campaign (or edit the content of an existing test campaign) several tools in XStudio allow to select automatically the tests (based an attributes, or select all the tests covering one specific SUT).
But when you select manually some tests you may want to automatically add all the ancestors (parents, grand-parents etc.) or the descendants (childs, grand-childs etc.) tests. This add'on will recursively compute and suggest all the tests you may miss and will propose you to automatically include them in the campaign. |

Microsoft SQLServer Support
| If your company wish to use only Microsoft SQLServer database, this feature will be necessary. This will allow you store all your data in a MsSql database.. |

Quality metrics
| The overal quality of a product is hard to estimate. This feature will provide great reports to measure this. |

Agents pool
|
Need to load-balance your test execution? just select all the agents in a pool and let the system picks the first available agent. Check out the article on our blog about the agent pools. |

Kalistick integration
| With this feature you will be able to trace your test activities in Kalistick and import automatically the non-regression campaigns to re-execute. |

Audit log
| If a user delete an object you have no way to track who did it as the history on this object is not accessible anymore. With this feature you will be able to trace all the activities performed by the users including the deletion. Dynamic filtering on users, action type is alaso available. |

Oracle support
| If your company wish to use only Oracle database, this feature will be necessary. This will allow you store all your data in an Oracle database. |

LDAP/Active Directory integration
|
If you don't want to manage your users separatly in XStudio and in your LDAP directory this add'on is for you.
You'll be able to simply select which users in your LDAP/Active Directory will be registered in XStudio and that's it!
Those users will now directly authenticate to the central server with their usual password. All LDAP-compliant dictionnaries in the market are supported:

Load and Stress
|
This feature extends the way you can run your tests.
When you create a campaign session, you will be able to select not only one but several agents to execute your tests in parallel.
In addition, you will be able to indicates how many simultaneous threads to run on each agent.
Each agent can run a different number of threads epending of the capacity of the host. Hence, this feature transforms XStudio in a nice Load and Stress platform! During the execution, you can check each agent's individual instance's progression and the individual or consolidated statistics. Last but not least, you can choose among several options to synchronize (or not) the instances together. |

Monitoring
|
If you're using the Load and Stress feature, you probably want to stress your SUTs and
verify performances and the status of some components of the SUT while you're doing so. The monitoring feature allows to monitor any server on the network in real-time while you're running your tests. Monitoring graphics are dynamically updated just next to the test results graphics. The Monitoring is based on SNMP v1.0 and the SNMP OIDs you wish to track are customizable and saved in configurations. By default and without any customization you can track CPU, Storage and Memory usage of specific processus on remote hosts. |

Auto-purge (cleaning tool)
|
This feature is particularly necessary for maintenance of systems handling big databases. Indeed, XStudio stores quite a lot of data in its database:
logs, different versions of requirements, specifications, tests, test cases, documents and attachments, statistics etc. As the database gets bigger and bigger, performances may decrease and backup getting problematic. This feature allows to cleanup your database on specific items or globally by removing all the very old data that you don't need anymore. You define the scope and a date and the feature will cleanup nicely the database for you - taking care about all the dependencies between elements. |
